All staff day

Our annual All Staff Day was held at the Big Hill Winery and brought together almost 150 staff from our offices across the state.

Strengthening the connection and helping to build awareness between different teams and their functions, managers and team leaders spoke about their major projects and goals for the next 12 months.

Ken outlined Haven; Home, Safe’s strategic direction and the likely implications from the recommendations Royal Commission into Family Violence.

Employees of the Month were recognised for their efforts and Employee of the Year for 2016 was presented to Joseph “Joe Bro” Salamasina for his passion and dedication to his clients and team. Affectionately known as the ‘Calminator’, Joe is quick to support his colleagues in high-pressure situations. Consistently patient, respectful, and compassionate towards challenging clients Joe is a positive role model for the entire IAP team and Metro office.

The day was a success and showcased the skills, passion and level of engagement our employees have for Haven; Home, Safe’s vision. It served as a reminder that whatever function our staff work in, whether that’s tenancy management, finance, administration, client-facing support, or development, we are all connected to a larger purpose and play a valued role in making a difference within our community.

Kerrie Treacy, Quality and Risk Manager, presents on the importance of cultural sensitivity.
